Ahmsa to build new power plant, targets self-sufficiency
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) is set to invest $70 million in the construction of a new electric power plant in the city of Monclova, Coahuila state. This was announced by the general director of the company, Luis Zamudio within the framework of the Latin American steel congress held in Mexico this week, monitored by Kallanish.
According to Zamudio the new power plant will have capacity of 100 megawatts and will use natural gas.
