Ahmsa reduces net loss, increases volumes in 2016
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) reduced its net loss as a result of higher volumes and lower costs in 2016, Kallanish notes. According to the company, this recovery was however limited by lower average prices in the market.
The Mexican steelmaker reported a net loss of MXN 3.170 million ($158million) in 2016, compared to a loss of MXN 4.28m in 2015.
