Ahmsa begins maintenance on Monclava sections line
Mexican steelmaker Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) says it has begun a major maintenance program on its heavy sections line at the Monclova mill, Kallanish learns from local media.
The work involves the renovation of the reheating furnace and its cooling tower, replacement of wear plates, as well maintenance of the main motors and control systems. The work will generate 650 direct jobs, Ahmsa says.
