Acerinox proposes workforce reduction at Spanish unit
Spanish-headquartered stainless steel producer Acerinox tells Kallanish that it is proposing a reduction in workforce numbers to the employees’ council at its Campo de Gibraltar plant.
According to Acerinox, the plan involves a reduction of 300 jobs to be carried out through the legally established collective redundancy procedure. This will adapt the production unit in Cadiz to the standards of its other factories, the steelmaker says.
