Zenith orders rebar, wire rod revamp
Eastern China’s Changzhou Zhongtian Iron and Steel (Zenith) has contracted Primetals Technologies to upgrade two rebar and wire rod lines at its main plant at Changzhou in Jiangsu Province, according to a Primetals release. The move could increase capacity at Zenith, a significant long steel exporter, Kallanish notes.
The upgrade will increase the rolling speed of the mills to 105 metres/second and allow it to produce fine grain rebar, Primetals says. …
