Voestalpine wins major plate supply contract for Brazil pipeline
Following its successful bid for the South Stream 1 pipeline contract in the spring, Austrian steelmaker Voestalpine says it has secured its second major pipeline contract this year in conjunction with its “long-term Brazilian partner Tenaris Confab”. The current deal, for the third Petrobras pipeline in the Brazilian Lula offshore oilfield, is for high strength line-pipe plates, Kallanish learns from the company.
