Vietnam predicts steel trade deficit surge
The Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) has warned that the country’s steel trade deficit will widen this year on the back of a continuing surge in imports, especially from China. The deficit had reached $4.6 billion over January-October, $400 million higher than in the same period of 2013, it adds.
In 2013 the full year figure jumped to $5.3bn and the figure would likely be higher in 2014, according to VSA. Over January-October Vietnam imported around 10.…
