Vietnam makes life hard for Formosa project
The 10.5 million tonnes/year Vietnamese flat product steelworks project by Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Group appears to have won little favour with the Vietnamese authorities. The government has rejected a series of requests for logistics and other operations, according to Than Thien News. The project plans to commission its first 2.5m t/y blast furnace by August 2015 despite a series of political problems.
