Vietnam cuts import duties on colour-coated sheet
Vietnam is now imposing duties of 3-5% on imports of colour-coated galvanized coil and sheet, according to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA). The new level is down from 7-10% previously and may give imports an added edge in the growing market, Kallanish notes. Vietnam is also gradually eliminating import tariffs in accordance with its obligations to the World Trade Organization.
