Unions vote to accept new Tata Steel UK pensions deal
UK steelmaker Tata Steel has resolved its dispute over employee pensions with four UK trade unions. A ballot result announced on 15 July showed clear majority acceptance of the Indian steelmaker’s latest proposal by members of the GMB, Unite and Community trade unions. The UCATT union ballot, whilst also confirming acceptance, was much closer with 46.7% of members rejecting the new deal.
