USW taking ATI to federal court over early benefit terminations
The United Steelworkers (USW) union is taking Allegheny Ludlum to federal court for terminating insurance benefits for 95 employees before the contract expiration.
USW’s complaint says the company, a unit of Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI), has “…breached a contractual agreement by ignoring a 30 November ‘lag date’ provision in an insurance agreement”, the union tells Kallanish.
