USW rallies for fair contract settlements with ArcelorMittal, US Steel
The United Steelworkers (USW) union is calling for fair contract settlements with producers US Steel and ArcelorMittal USA as labour negotiations continue. A series of rallies and marches are being held this week across the US.
The current labour agreements, covering about 30,000 workers in all, are set to expire on 1 September. Bargaining has been ongoing since June.
