UK manufacturing sector trips up in April
The latest Markit/UK Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) survey monitored by Kallanish indicates that UK manufacturing sector output growth slowed in April. Manufacturing for the UK consumer sector remains strong but contraction was seen in the intermediate goods sector and also in the investment goods segment.
