UAE leads Middle East DRI output growth again in July
Direct reduced iron production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by the World Steel Association’s monthly report grew 18% on-year in July to 2.27 million tonnes. This was led by United Arab Emirates – as in June – and the region’s largest producer, Iran, Kallanish learns from worldsteel. The output did, however, represent a -1% decline on June.
