Turkish exporters see reaching 2014 target after September recovery
Turkish steel exporters shipped 8% more product year-on-year in September at 1.4 million tonnes, thanks in part to a recovery in exports to Iraq, which was effectively lost as a market due to insurgency earlier this year. The value of these exports was up 7% to $1.89 billion, according to Turkish Steel Exporters Association (CIB) figures seen by Kallanish.
