TimkenSteel battles significant shipment declines, foresees tough third quarter
After significant shipment declines in the second quarter of the year, TimkenSteel anticipates even further declines in the third quarter.
The bar producer believes Industrial and mobile segment shipments will be slightly lower than Q2 shipments of 160,124 tons due to low oil prices and declining mining markets. Q2 shipments were -5% lower year-on-year. The average selling price, including surcharges, was -13% lower at $1,318/ton.
