Ternium temporarily suspends activities at Mexican mine
Latin American steel producer Ternium will temporarily suspend extraction activities in its Aquila iron ore mine located in the Michoacán region, central Mexico, Kallanish learns from the company.
The decision has been announced one month after the beginning of a local protest culminated in a blockade of the roads used by the mining company for its transport (see Kallanish 23 April).
