Tangshan Stainless starts dephosphorization converter for high-grade auto steels
Tangshan Stainless Steel has launched a DeP converter, which will reduce the phosphorus content of the Chinese company’s crude steel, according to the plant’s supplier Siemens.
This means Tangshan Stainless, which belongs to the Tangshan Iron & Steel Group can produce high-grade carbon steels, that will be further processed at the group’s newly built cold-rolling (CR) complex into high-strength sheets for the automotive industry.
