Taigang targets stainless output increase after losing crown
China’s Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Taigang) plans to hike its stainless steel production by just over 13% to 4.3 million tonnes in 2015, up from 3.8mt in 2014, according to its latest operating report. The company had been the world’s largest stainless steel maker until it was out-produced by the privately-owned Tsingshan Holdings last year, Kallanish notes.
