Surge in exports boosts Turkish automotive output in January
Exports continued to drive Turkish automotive production growth in January after strong shipments abroad more than offset a decline in local sales in 2014. Output last month increased 37% year-on-year to 102,574 units, supported by a 54% surge in exports to 79,288 units. Domestic sales began the year positively, increasing 7% to 36,567 vehicles.
