Steel trade on IME surpasses 200,000t
In the week through 20 August 200,474 tonnes of steel products and 220,000t of iron ore were traded on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Kallanish learns.
The most recent trade was that of 96,820t of rebar and I-beam for over $46 million by Esfahan Steel. The products were sold at an average price of IRR 14.12 million/tonne ($473). Sangan Iron Ore Complex, meanwhile, sold 110,000t of granulated iron ore at a base price of $19.15/t.
