Saudi destocking reduces Tenaris Middle East/Africa shipments 13% in 2014
Pipemaker Tenaris’ shipments in the Middle East and Africa declined 13% year-on-year in 2014 to 1.82 million tonnes. This was due mainly to OCTG destocking in Saudi Arabia in the second half of the year and lower sales in United Arab Emirates. An increase in sales to offshore projects in sub-Saharan Africa partially offset this, Kallanish learns from Tenaris.
