Saarland prepares blast furnace reline
The pig iron plant that feeds Dillinger Hütte and Saarstahl, ROGESA Roheisengesellschaft Saar, will undergo a blast furnace reline next year, Kallanish learns from a local steel industry source in Saarland.
Blast furnace No.4, built in 1974, saw its last reline in 2003, and after a campaign of 13 years will be relined in 2016, at a total cost of €130 million.
