China's Rizhao commissions 2.55 million t/y ultra-thin HRC line
Eastern China’s Rizhao Steel Group (Rigang) has commissioned the first of five casting and rolling plants ordered from what is now Primetals Technologies. The line uses the Arvedi Endless Strip Production (ESP) technology to produce up to 2.55 million tonnes/year of hot strip, the plantmaker says.
Rigang has another four casting and rolling lines to be delivered by Primetals. Work has already begun on plants No 2 and 3, according to Primetals.
