Primetals supplies Q&T line for OCTG pipe at Borusan Mannesmann, Texas
Plantmaker Primetals Technologies – the newly-merged Siemens VAI and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries – will supply a heat treatment plant to Borusan Mannesmann Pipe US, for the pipemaker’s new ERW (electric resistance welded) pipe mill in Baytown, Texas, USA. The contract includes Q&T equipment, such as a walking beam, austenitizing furnace and a high pressure, water spray quench system, plus walking beam, tempering furnace.
