Port Hedland iron ore shipments surge in July
Iron ore shipments from Port Hedland in Western Australia to China surged by nearly 50% year-on-year in July. Over 36 million tonnes of the product was exported to all destinations according to statistics released by Port Hedland Port Authority and monitored by Kallanish.
Cargoes to China grew to 30,566,899 tonnes from 29,184,346t in June an increase of 4.7% month-on-month, but were up by 49.7% from the volume of 20,416,034t exported in June 2013
