Pakistan Steel shuts down blast furnace owing to hot metal leakage: reports
Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) has shut down its blast furnace No.1 owing to a hot metal leakage, according to local press reports. The producer is aiming to surpass 70% capacity utilisation by January, after financial difficulties leading to a raw materials shortage saw output slump to 3-6% of capability earlier this year, as reported by Kallanish.
