PT Krakatau takes losses on troubled Posco jv
Indonesia’s state-owned steelmaker PT Krakatau Steel has booked losses of $149.8 million for 2014, most of which were from its 30% shareholding in Krakatau Posco. The joint venture with Korea’s Posco expects to finally approach its 3 million tonnes/year capacity in 2015 after having trouble at its newly commissioned blast furnace in 2014, Kallanish learns.
