NSSMC wins South African tinplate contract
Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) has won a contract to supply tinplate to a can manufacturer in South Africa, the steelmaker tells Kallanish.
NSSMC will deliver between 35-45,000 tonnes of tinplate up to the end of 2016 to Sandton-based Nampak. The packaging company has can production facilities mainly in South Africa.
