NSSMC sees profits, sales fall in first quarter

Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) has seen sales and operating profits fall in the first quarter of its financial year (April-June). The news comes as Japanese steelmakers struggle with domestic demand and are reliant on export opportunities, Kallanish notes.
