Indias NMDC looks set to merge with KIOCL
India’s steel ministry looks set to merge struggling iron ore pelletiser and iron producer KIOCL with state-owned mining giant National Mining Development Corp. (NMDC), according to local media reports. The move would bring together a company lacking iron ore and one in need of processing capacity, Kallanish notes.
