Minas-Rio operation should produce 11-14mt of iron ore in 2015
Minas-Rio, the Anglo American-owned iron ore mine based in Minas Gerais state, Brazil, is expected to hit its commercial production capacity in 2015, the multinational mining company tells Kallanish.
The news follows Anglo American’s decision to take a $3.9 billion (€3.4bn) impairment charge on its 2014 results, because of the low iron ore price throughout the year.
