Mexico registers record year for automotive production
The Mexican automotive market registered in 2016 a record year for both production and exports, Kallanish learns from the local automotive association AMIA.
In 2016 the country produced 3,465,615 vehicles, an increase of 2% year-on-year and the highest volume since the production passed one million units back in 1992. Exports also showed a recovery, albeit much smaller, by 0.3% y-o-y to 2,768,268 units.
