Kobe in Mexican JV for auto wire

Japan’s Kobe Steel intends to build a 40,000 tonne/year cold heading quality wire drawing plant in Mexico in collaboration with Shinsho Corporation and other partners, the company says. The plant in the state of Guanajuato will serve Mexico’s growing automotive sector, where many Japanese car manufacturers are investing, Kallanish notes.
