Kobe and Angang in Chinese autosheet tie-up
Japan's Kobe Steel says it has established a joint venture with Angang Steel Company to produce annealed autosheet for China rapidly expanding car producers. This became effective on 1 August. Kobelco Angang Auto Steel will be based at Angang's steelworks in Anshan in northern Liaoning province and will have an annealing capacity of 600,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish learns.
