Khouzestan Steel sells huge slab consignment on IME
Iran’s second-largest steelmaker, Khouzestan Steel, sold 124,500 tonnes of slab last week on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME). The sales, worth over $50 million, were in the form of spot deals and forward contracts.
The majority of the slab traded was priced at IRR 12.02 million/tonne ($404), while a 1,500t-consignment was priced at IRR 13.5m/t. Hormozgan Steel, meanwhile, sold 10,000t of slab at IRR 13.3m/t, and is set to offer another 40,000t. Esfa…
