Japan demand to recover but exports flat in FY 16: NSSMC
Japanese steelmakers will benefit from improving domestic steel demand later this year but will not see any significant increase in demand for exports, according to Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC). The company expects continued cost reductions and better performance at overseas subsidiaries to drive better results in the new financial year however, Kallanish notes.
