Chinas Jan-Apr apparent steel demand falls 5% on new output data
China produced 68.91 million tonnes of crude steel in April, down -0.7% year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The figure means China’s apparent domestic steel demand was down -2.59% y-o-y in April and -5.15% so far this year, Kallanish calculates.
