JSW Steel agrees to take Welspun Maxsteel
Indian steelmaker JSW Steel confirms in a posting to the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has entered into an agreement to acquire hot briquetted iron producer Welspun Maxsteel.
The acquisition forms part of JSW’s strategic goal to increase its crude steel production to 40 million tonnes/year “in the next decade”, the steelmaker says in its statement monitored by Kallanish.
