Iron ore slump and cheap Chinese billet keep pressure on scrap price, says BIR
The slump in iron ore prices, and consequent availability of low-priced Chinese billet in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, is putting substantial downward pressure on ferrous scrap prices, the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) says in its latest quarterly report, World Mirror on Ferrous Metals.
