Irepas forecasts 'bright spots' ahead for global steel longs market
Low inventories, as well as good demand in the Americas, Northern Europe, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Africa may revitalise the steel long products market in the coming weeks, predicts European bar and rod association, Irepas.
“Overall, the market is expected to improve marginally and to reach a satisfactory status in the second quarter [2014],” the association notes in its May short-term forecast.
