Indonesian port set to boost ferronickel exports
The government of Bantaeng district in Indonesia says it intends to begin construction of a Ringgit 4 trillion ($300 million) port in May, with full commissioning in 2017. The area has become a hotbed of nickel smelting investment since Indonesia banned ore exports in 2014, with Chinese firms leading the way, Kallanish notes.
