Imidro unaware of India-Iran oil for steel barter plan
The head of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro) says he is unaware of reported plans by an Indian steelmaker to barter steel with Iran in exchange for oil.
In a statement seen by Kallanish Imidro chairman Mehdi Karbasian says he not heard of this proposal, the details of which would be coordinated solely by Iran’s commerce ministry.
