Ilva revamp work continues despite further incident
Efforts to increase capacity at Italian steelmaker Ilva’s plant in Taranto continue to be hindered.
One of the workers involved in upgrading the site’s blast furnace no. 1 was injured in an accident last week, Kallanish learns from sources in the company. A sub-contractor suffered first and second degree burns after being hit by a jet of steam.
