Hebei exports confirm demand downturn
The northern Chinese province of Hebei exported over 15 million tonnes of steel over January-August, an increase of 59.7% year-on-year. This is higher than nationwide steel export growth of 39.3% so far this year, thanks to Hebei 's weak local market and beneficial trade relationships, Kallanish reports.
