German steel output increases again year-on-year in August
August monthly crude steel output by German mills has risen for the third year in succession, Kallanish learns from industry federation WV Stahl.
August saw an output of 3.432 million tonnes, a respectable 11% above production in the same month of 2014, but attributable to the base effect of reduced output in that period. The recent production figures however, indicate a modest upward trend, WV Stahl says.
