German scrap market in paradox of low availability and low prices
Scrap prices in Germany have slipped recently, while the market lacks a clear stimulus. Values made a temporary rebound in January, marking a break in the seasonal longer-term dwindling of prices that sets in each autumn, a source at Germany’s steel scrap federation BDSV says.
