German mills juggle to resume regular shipments after rail strike
The 5-day strike by Germany’s railway operators, which would have been the country’s longest, ended two days earlier than expected, late on 8 November. While passenger services resumed their regular timetables by 10 November, steel producers fear that for some freight-intensive industries, transport might not get back to normal until the end of the week.
