German mills aims for modest plate rise in Q3
Plate mills in Northwest Europe are expected to seek a third quarter price rise following the general success of their Q2 increases, say traders in the region.
“They will be happy if they achieve something like €5/tonne,” a trader tells Kallanish. But, there is still overcapacity, and continued pressure from East European and Ukrainian material coming in, so maybe it will end up being a roll-over, he notes.
