Formosa asks JFE to return to Vietnam
Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Group (FPG) has asked Japan’s JFE Steel to join its 10.5 million tonnes/year flat steelworks project in Vietnam. The move is likely to ruffle feathers at FPG’s compatriot, E United Group, whose own steelworks project in Vietnam was abandoned by JFE as recently as September, Kallanish notes.
